AylaTV Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 October 2026
AylaTV is a media player for Android phones and tablets, Android TV, iPhone and Apple TV. It plays IPTV services that you already have. This policy explains what data the AylaTV apps and their account service handle. The AylaTV account service is operated by Aylatek Technologies B.V., Arnhem, The Netherlands (KvK 42150539, contact: support@aylatek.nl).
What AylaTV is, and what it is not
AylaTV does not provide, sell or include any TV channels, movies, series, playlists or IPTV subscriptions. The video you watch or download comes directly from your own IPTV provider to your device. It does not pass through the AylaTV server.
Data stored when you create an AylaTV account
- Account details: your email address and display name. Your password is stored only as a salted hash (bcrypt), never in readable form.
- Sign-in sessions: a hashed session token and a device label for each signed-in device, with the time it was created and when it expires. A session expires after 60 days without use.
- Your IPTV subscription details: the playlist (M3U) address, the optional programme-guide (EPG) address and related options that you enter. These addresses can contain login details issued by your provider, so they are encrypted (AES-256-GCM) before they are stored and are only readable by your own account.
- Profiles and viewing data: profile names, favourites, watch progress, watch history and a few app settings, so that they are the same on all your devices. They are stored as content identifiers together with a one-way fingerprint of your IPTV source, not as titles or streams.
Why we use it
Only to provide the app: to sign you in and to keep your subscription details, profiles, favourites and watch progress available on all your devices. We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. AylaTV contains no advertising or analytics software. The Android apps do not use your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.
How it is protected
All communication between the app and the AylaTV server uses HTTPS. Subscription addresses are encrypted at rest as described above. The server software may keep short-lived technical logs (for example the time of a request and the IP address) for security and troubleshooting; they are not used for profiling or advertising.
Data kept only on your device
- On iPhone, Android phones and tablets and Android TV, movies and episodes you download are saved in the app's private storage and are removed when you sign out or delete your account. Apple TV does not offer downloads.
- A copy of your subscription, your profile list and your favourites and watch progress are kept on the device so that they can be shown if the server is unreachable. They are removed when you sign out, when your session expires or when you delete your account.
- Login details for your AylaTV account are kept in the device's secure storage: the Keychain on iPhone and Apple TV, and on Android encrypted with a key held in the Android Keystore. The Android apps do not allow device backups of their data.
Permissions on Android
The Android apps use network access, a foreground service to run downloads, and, on Android 13 and later, an optional notification permission to show download progress. The app works without the notification permission.
Your IPTV provider and other servers
When you play or download content, your device contacts your IPTV provider (and any address you configure) directly. Their handling of your data is governed by their own policies, not by this one. Some providers use plain HTTP, which the apps allow for those connections only; connections to the AylaTV server always use HTTPS. The built-in demo content uses public test streams.
Your choices
- Delete your account and all data stored for it at any time in the app: Settings > Account > Delete Account.
- Remove your subscription from your account in Settings > Subscription.
- To ask about, correct or delete your data in another way, write to support@aylatek.nl. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Children
AylaTV is not directed to children.
